closed at 5am.
Meanwhile clubs that closed at 3AM, will now close at 2:30AM. With

premises that currently trade to 3.00am will now be required to close
at 2.30am (with sales of alcohol to cease at 2am).
An Appeal was lodged by Newcastle's inner city clubs, but unfortunately that was quickly shut down and this curfew will be on trial for the next 3 months. Should the Anti-Social Behaviour not improved, the implimentation of a 12PM SHUTDOWN may be on the cards
This is not a solution to the problem at hand, this so called " Anti-Social Behavior " won't be stop. This is just promoting people to get legless at home prior to hitting town. Until public transport is fixed, this curfew will not get people off the streets and running riot around Newcastle.
Atleast some Newcastle Nightclub's have taken the initiatives in hiring out a mini-bus and driving small groups of people to King St Maccas, Train Stations and alike. Well Done!
