What are your plans for the next 12 months?

In the next 12 months the band intends to record an album of original stuff as well as pursuing options to break out of Maitland/Newcastle and into the Sydney and national scene and beyond. We also have a kick arse tour of Thailand in the pipeline.

Who are some other artists you have performed with?

The biggest names that we've shared stage space with have been Grinspoon,Mammal,Karnavool,Angels as well as meeting Pete Murray and Spiderbait and Alex Lloyd when we went on the Footy Show in 2005.Theres been numerous great pub bands also including the Rideons and other great Newcastle/Maitland champion rocksmiths.

Do you play requests?

Of course. Then we play what we want.

Name some of the venues you have played at over the years?

Outdoor Venues- Rock under the Stars at Nelson Bay.Maitland Blues and Tatoos Festival, Hunter Pubfest (three years running at Victoria Hotel Hinton).
Sydney Entertainment Centre on the Footy Show (what a buzz-10,000 screaming punters),Home Nightclub Darling Harbour, Bank Hotel(East Maitland, Wickham Park Hotel(newie) Lucky Country Hotel, Rutherford Hotel, Commercial Hotel (Morpeth), The Loft youth Venue in Newcastle.

Do you consider this a lifelong career?

"Find something you love and make it your career" is a great motto and we would love to make music our lifelong careers. Having parents in the industry we are aware that only a few can make a living out of music so are realistic. At this stage we dont want jobs, although Jarrod has a day job.

Would you ever consider having digital drums then a real life drummer?

That would be like having a shower with a rain coat on(we don't understand this comment-dad told us to write it)

What is your bands biggest influence in your bands career?

The crowds reaction to our shows influences us. Couldn't imagine wanting to play live if there was no response. The amazing people we've met has also been a great influence as well as our parents.

Why did you choose the band name you have chosen?

Its a cunning play on the name of an ACDC album, the fact we do an ACDC tribute show thats powerrock and the fact that we are relatively young. Nicks farts are also very powerful for his age.

Do you have a mascot?

Our Mascot is Ned- the roadie. We don't see him much though because hes usually hung over and cant make the gigs- he's always good on the advice on how to make great moonshine, score and treat the ladies- whatever all that means.

Do you have any groupies following you around?

yeah. Theres a select group that rarely miss a gig. They're fantastic- don't know if they're groupies in the real sense of the word- ask Jarrod- we're all minors.

How long have you all been together?

We started Powerage in March 2005 with original lead singer James Naldo. Jarrod joined us in about April 2006.

What is your greatest career achievement?

Our win on the Footy Shows No talent time was a great achievement and gave us a boost financially and also in our profile. Making the final of the Global Battle of the bands in 2006 playing our own music was also a great achievement for us.

Is it true that band boys/girls get all the sexy ladies/men?

Of course the band gets the decent chicks. Look at Jarrods missus and Ben and Jeremy's girls. All our mates are jealous of the attention we get, even though they've all got heads like torn sox. Join a band boy...join a band.
